EGB SUMMARY: - German bunds have rallied through the session with yields trading
close to the day's lows. The benchmark 2-year bund trades at -0.575% down from a
high of -0.563%, while the 10-year trades at 0.366% down from 0.386%. The curve
has flattened slightly on the day with the 2s30s spread narrowing to 160.3bps
from 162.1bps.
- The French curve has similarly flattened on the back of the long end
outperforming. The 30-year OAT yield has pushed down to 1.605% from 1.623% while
the 2s30s spread has traded down to 201.3bps from 202.4bps.
- The front end of the Italian BTP curve has rallied since midday with the
2-year BTP yield down to 0.964% from a high of 1.0638%.
- Spanish bonds have been range bound during the day.
- The rally in Greek bonds lost momentum by late morning. Having hit a low of
3.310%, the 5-year yield has since reversed to 3.369%.
- The Euribor futures strip is flat to 1.5 ticks higher.
