German Econ Min-No Interest In US For Comprehensive FTA w/EU

Wires carrying comments from German Vice Chancellor and Economy Minister Robert Habeck following his trip to Washington, D.C., with French counterpart Bruno Le Maire. States that there is "no interest in the US for a comprehensive trade agreement with the EU, but [there is] very much interest in climate friendly technologies".

  • Habeck: the "EU response to US subsidies [in the form of the Inflation Reduction Act] must be reworked in concrete terms, and will be done before the next European Council summit in March".
