BUNDS: German FI futures sit a touch higher than settlement ahead of European
trade; Schatz +0.5 tick, Bobls +3.0 ticks, Bunds +8 ticks.
- Focus on Tuesday fell on the Italian fiscal situation, with Deputy PM Salvini
seemingly moving towards a break of EU guidelines, while head of the coalition
partner party and fellow Deputy PM Di Maio pushed back against such ideas. Data
releases struggled to provide any real impetus.
- Brexit headlines will draw interest today, with the Withdrawal Bill set to be
put in front of the Commons in early June, and a lack of developments in the
cross-party talks highlighted.
- On the domestic front, 2048 supply and Q1 flash GDP provide the highlights.
Flash Q1 GDP data for the Eurozone is also due, with ECB's Coeure & Praet set to
make addresses this afternoon.
