Both Bayernoil’s 215k b/d Vohburg-Neustadt and Miro’s 310k b/d Karlsruhe refineries continue to produce at reduced levels due to technical issues, Argus said.
- Normal production at Karlsruhe is not expected until March, later than the original schedule which planned a production increase from mid-Feb.
- The Vohburg-Neustadt refinery is to be taken offline entirely for maintenance in March, along with several units at the 90k b/d Neustadt site, Argus added. Neustadt has yet to resume maintenance after a fire on Jan. 17.
- OMV's 77k b/d Burghausen refinery will also undergo maintenance in late March.
- The first two permanent production cuts will take place in March when Shell ends crude distillation at the Wesseling site of its 334k b/d Rhineland refinery.
- The second permanent cut is due at the end of 2025 at BP’s 258k b/d Gelsenkirchen refinery.
