Germany, Austria Sign Cooperation Agreement For Two Gas Storage Sites

Germany and Austria on Friday signed a cooperation agreement to jointly use and refill the gas storage reserves in Haidach and 7Fields according to the Germany Economy Ministry BMWK.

  • In case of gas supply squeeze both countries will continue to support transports of gas, it added.
  • The agreement will come into effect in one month.
  • German gas storage levels stood at 71.86% of capacity on 15 Feb. Austrian gas storage reserves were 71.36% full on 15 Feb, AGSI data show.
