Germany Launches 2.14GW PV Tender

Germany’s Federal Network Agency has launched its second tender for ground-mounted PV’s, with about 2.14GW of capacity up for grabs and bids to be submitted by 1 July, according to the agency, cited by RenewablesNow.

  • The maximum value for this round is €0.0737/kWh ($0.079) and will not include the newly approved solar package 1 – which increases the upper limit for projects to 50MW from 20MW and raises the price cap for agrivoltaics.
  • Once the new package is approved by the EC, a separate sub-category will be applied – introducing a price cap of €0.095/kWh for agrivoltaics, floating solar, and solar systems on carports and moors.
  • In the first round, 2.23GW was awarded to 326 bidders, with prices decreasing from the previous tender.
