Germany Prepares For Nord Stream 1 Maintenance

NATURAL GAS

Germany is preparing emergency measures for the Nord Stream 1 maintenance period June 11-21 according to reports.

  • The levy will make gas more expensive for everyone instead of the burden falling only on certain households based on who their gas supplier is.
  • This week, German utility Uniper was forced to begin bailout talks with the German government as sourcing alternative gas supplies has become cost prohibitive.
