Germany's Uniper Pays for Russian Gas in Euros

Germany’s largest gas importer, Uniper, has paid for Russian gas under new proposals in euros.

• Russia’s Gazprom has shut off flows to Denmark’s Orsted and Shell Europe in Germany for their refusal to pay in roubles.

• Further gas flow cuts are expected in the coming days across Europe as deadlines to pay for new supplies arise.
