Germany’s Rehden Gas Storage Facility Stops Injections

Germany’s largest gas storage facility Rehden will not be able to inject gas into storage for several days, following a small blast, according to The Spiegel.

  • Gas injections at the facility were stopped on Tuesday morning, following a small blast.
  • Injections are likely to be stopped until the end of the week according to regulators of the state of Lower Saxony.
  • At this moment, storage withdrawals have not been affected.
  • Reserves at Rehden were at 90.29% of capacity as of 30 Jan. Total German gas reserves were at 79.2% of capacity, Agsi data show.
