GILT SUMMARY: Gilts have headed steadily higher Monday afternoon, in what may be
the calm before the storm of a series of fateful Brexit votes this week.
- The Jun 19 Gilt future is up 25 ticks at 129.47, having traded in a range of
128.8-129.49 today.
The 2-Yr yield is down 1.9bps at 0.64%, 5-Yr is down 2.1bps at 0.761%, 10-Yr is
down 2.4bps at 0.99%, and 30-Yr is down 1.3bps at 1.475%.
- PM May acknowledged a lack of sufficient support for her withdrawal deal and
will not hold a third vote on it..yet.
- Commons to vote tonight (around 2200GMT expected) on the so-called `Letwin
amendment` to hold indicative votes on alternatives to May`s deal.
- Conservatives will whip against the Letwin amendment. BBC`s Laura Kuenssberg
reported that some Remain-leaning ministers would resign if they were told not
to vote for it; some will meet w PM May at 1845GMT.
- Very thin week for data, which is just as well given Brexit intrigue.
