Golden Pass LNG Start Date Revised: BNEF

LNG

Golden Pass’ first train is expected to start service in H2 2024, with trains two and three to then follow, according to FERC field inspection report.

  • The start up of the first train has been delayed from April 2024 to July 2024, a three-month delay compared to BNEF’s July forecast.
  • This has led to a drop in the LNG feedgas demand forecast for summer 24 by 61 bcf.
  • The Goldan Pass LNG project’s estimated send out capacity will be around 18 million tons of LNG per year. Pipeline upgrades will facilitate the receipt and redelivery of up to 2.6bcf/d of natural gas supply to the export facility.
