Goldman Sachs continue to look for 25bp hike

  • Despite the snap lockdown imposed on New Zealand, Goldman Sachs have said that they "maintain our base case of a +25bp OCR hike, but revise lower our subjective odds of a hike by the RBNZ tomorrow from 80% previously to 60% and acknowledge the significant uncertainty."
  • Note that earlier today, Westpac revised its call and now see no hike this week.
