Government Taking Steps to Freeze Household Gas Prices in 2023

  • PAP reports that the Polish government are working to freeze natgas tariffs for 2023 and are to present specific solutions in September, according to the Climate Minister Moskwa.
  • Proposals are due to be pored over next month, at which point ministers will discuss the level at which prices should be held.
  • The move would be the latest step by authorities to dull the impact of energy costs facing the consumer after steps made in late July, as the lower house voted in favor of a draft bill to extend retail gas tariff obligations.
