Gross Wages Rise 16.1% y/y in June

  • Gross wages in Hungary grew by an annual 16.1% in June, the Central Statistical Office said earlier this morning.
  • EURHUF has started the session 0.20% in the green, though the cross remains within yesterday’s ranges. The 50-day EMA at 381.26 and the Aug 3 high at 394.67 mark the key support and resistance levels to watch, respectively.
  • Cabinet Minister Gergely Gulyas will hold a briefing at 1030BST/1130CET following a meeting of the government yesterday. There is little else in the way of notable domestic news flow today. Unemployment rate data is on the docket tomorrow (Est: +3.8%).
