Gunvor LNG Vessel Rejected by Argentina Arrives in Spain

LNG

Gunvor’s LNG vessel Flex Artemis, refused permission to unload in Argentina due to concerns around sanctions concerns, has arrived in Spain, according to Bloomberg.

  • Flex Artemis arrived into Spanish terminal Sagunto, carrying volumes loaded June 25 from Montoir-de-Bretagne.
  • The cargo, awarded by tender to Gunvor, was turned away from the Bahia Blanca terminal, citing the Russian origin of the cargo. The LNG originally came from Yamal.
  • Gunvor denied the LNG was turned away over Russia sanctions according to Reuters, claiming Enarsa knew of the cargo's origin and that the vessel left Bahia Blanca because Gunvor did not receive payment.
