Thursday's session was a volatile one, with jobs data, Westpac's dovish RBA call
and Chinese coal import ban headlines providing mixed signals for bond
investors. The next result was effectively zero, with prices returning back to
their recent range after edging close toward the YTD high of 98.445. This keeps
the onus on the downside, setting bears up nicely for a test on 98-30. A fall
through here would open the 50-dma at 98.239 ahead of the 98.00 handle. Should
bulls regain some fervour from Monday, upside targets hold at 98.45 and 98.560,
marking the Nov9 2016 high and the Oct3 2016 respectively.
