DOLLAR-CANADA: Having earlier stalled ahead of C$1.3000, CAD has outperformed
this week with gains of 0.92% against the USD. The rally in oil following
President Trump's announcement to pull out of the Iran deal triggered renewed
CAD strength to C$1.2743, before fading. Consolidation has largely remained the
theme through Asia and the early part of Europe. Expect strong demand on
approach to C$1.2700 (C$1.2708 61.8% C$1.2528-1.2998). On the calendar today
import/export data is scheduled for release at 1230GMT. The imports price index
is expected to grow by 0.5% after previous flat growth with the export price
index previously showing growth of 0.3%. At 1300GMT BOC Senior Deputy Governor
Carolyn Wilkins speaks in Toronto. USDCAD last C$1.2761.
