Hawkish Risks To Sell-Side Views Another Source OF Pressure?

AUSSIE BONDS

On top of the previously flagged commentary from ex-RBA board member Edwards and trans-Tasman spill over from a soft NZ bond market (granted, some of that comes as NZ plays catch up after an elongated weekend), it is worth noting that news wires have pointed to comments from the CBA & ANZ economics teams, which alluded to hawkish risks to their central RBA scenarios (CBA look for an August lift off, while ANZ look for a September lift off). Both teams have noted that every meeting from June is live. While that may not be particularly fresh information, it may be feeding into today’s pressure for Australian FI markets, given the wider dissemination of the story.
