Henry Hub Unchanged After 36bcf EIA US Storage Draw

US Henry Hub is net unchanged after an initial rally in response to a slightly larger than expected draw in US gas storage inventories according to the latest weekly EIA data.

  • The EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending Mar. 22 showed a draw of 36bcf compared to the expectation for a draw of 28bcf according to a Bloomberg survey and the seasonal normal draw of 30bcf.
  • US storage inventories continue to hold a strong surplus with total stocks at 2,296bcf compared to the previous five year average of 1,626bcf.
    • US Natgas MAY 24 up 1.1% at 1.74$/mmbtu
    • US Natgas OCT 24 up 1.5% at 2.52$/mmbtu
    • US Natgas APR 25 up 1.6% at 3.01$/mmbtu
