US DATA PREVIEW: Here comes the US economic data flood: the 8:30 am ET data
includes Nov. durable goods and personal income and current dollar PCE. Personal
income and spending are both expected at +0.4%, according to MNI poll of
economists.
- Core PCE price index to slow to +0.1%, according to MNI poll median estimate,
with the Y/Y rising modestly to 1.6%-1.7% due to base effects. 
- Analysts expect some damage to spending due to post-hurricane normalization,
but others argue the possibility of a surge given the +0.8% in retail spending. 
- Recent history of accurate forecasts suggests low risk of surprises.
