MNI CBRT Review - June 2021: Slight Hawkish Tilt, But Premature Easing Risks Remain

Overall, little change in terms of posturing from the CBRT outside of a marginal hawkish tilt in phraseology. This, however, was insufficient to dissuade markets in their expectations for premature easing in the pipeline. Risks to greater FX passthrough to inflation are rising as concerns of higher US Treasury yields pose a threat to further upside in USD/TRY towards 8.80-9.00.
