House Approves Minimum Indexation for Lowest Pension Payments

  • The lower house of parliament have formally approved a bill to cover minimum indexation for the lowest pension payments as well as disability benefits. The move should be covered by the allocation of PLN 2.09bln for 2023.
  • According to a Puls Biznesu survey, around half of all SMEs are set to raise prices this year, a rise from just 5% of SMEs this time last year.
  • PAP writes that the government is tentatively planning to hike capital gains tax rates to 20% from 19%, and introduce a tax-free allowance of PLN 10,000, according to sources. The rate rise would be budget neutral, with the tax free allowance offsetting the higher tax.
  • Moody’s are set to review the Polish rating after market today. The rating is currently A2.
