ENERGY: Houthi's Signal Eased Red Sea Vessel Threat

Yemen’s Houthi’s intend to limit their attacks on ships to Israeli linked vessels following the Gaza ceasefire the Yemen-based Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) said.

  • They also said if the UK or U.S. resumed strikes on Yemen then vessels affiliated with them would also be a target.
  • It remains unclear whether this will unblock the Suez trade route. Operators will likely be wary of reusing the route following numerous mistaken identity attacks last year while insurance may also  prove an issue.
