India's fuel consumption rose by 6.1% year-on-year but fell 5.85% from March to 19.858m metric tons in April, according to the oil ministry Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell data.

  • March gasoline sales rose by 14.1% y/y but fell 1.2% on the month to 3.28m tons.
  • High speed diesel sales increased by 1.4% y/y and down 1.4% m/m to 7.93m tons.
  • LPG sales rose by 9.5% y/y but fell 9.6% m/m to 2.36m tons.
  • Naphtha sales rose by 3.9%y/y and down 2.5% m/m to 1.16m tons.
