"Instant Answers" For FOMC Minutes

FED

We will be running "Instant Answers" for the September FOMC Minutes at 1400ET/1900UK. We'll publish the answers to these questions on our website Bullet sand Bloomberg Bullets Feeds (e.g. MNBP2) shortly after release. The questions that we have selected are as follows:

  • Did participants say it likely would be appropriate to slow the pace of hikes "in the next couple meetings" or "in the near future"?
  • Did several or more participants say a pause in the policy rate would be appropriate "soon"?
  • Did several or more participants say policy would need to be more restrictive if inflation runs higher than expected?
  • Did several or more participants say there's evidence that inflation pressures were subsiding or had peaked?
  • Did several or more participants say a more "patient" or "cautious" approach is warranted to adjusting the stance of policy?
  • Did several or more participants say financial stability risks "warrant closely monitoring"?
