Iranian Crude Export Strength Gained Pace May

Iran exported around 1.8mn bpd of crude/condensate and refined products (gasoil and fuel) in May according to TankerTrackers.

  • They counted 44 departures in May, 41 of which were visually evidenced. The remaining three are Iranian tankers to begin with.
  • Vessel tracking by UANI places Iranian crude/condensate exports at 1.55mn bpd in May (not including refined products), up from 1.41mn bpd in April and 1.22mn bpd in March. May’s volumes are the highest it has recorded since March 2019 in driven by higher flows to China.
