Iraq, Turkey Oil Flows Show No Sign Of Restart

Northern Iraqi crude flows to Turkey’s port of Ceyhan remain halted following talks between the Turkish president and the KRG prime minister earlier this month.

  • A meeting last week between Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Masrour Barzani did not result in the restart of flows. Both governments previously talked about legal and technical aspects and discussions on the matter will continue, sources told Reuters last week.
  • Iraq was forces to halt around 470kbpd of crude oil exports from the northern region on 25 March through the export pipeline to the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
