Iraq’s Northern Exports To Restart Saturday, Despite No Answer From Turkey: Oil Minister

Crude oil exports from Iraq’s northern fields in the Kurdistan region are expected to restart on Saturday with the pumping of 500kbpd, even though Iraq has not yet received an answer from Turkey to its request to restart flows, according to Reuters, Iraq’s Oil Minister, Ihsan Abdul Jabbar, said.

  • Iraq has sent an official request to Turkey’s Botas to restart oil exports from Iraq’s northern fields to the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
  • According to earlier reports from Iraq’s oil ministry, Turkey is still conducting checks on the pipeline, and Iraq has been waiting on the green light from Turkey.
