Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar says that the Israeli gov't is "ready to continue with phase two of the agreement, but for that we need an agreement. We will not agree to another October 7, from any front." Sa'ar refused to answer questions on if there was a deadline after which the war on Hamas in Gaza will resume, saying only, "If we want to - we will do it."
- The prospect of a phase two deal being agreed upon between Israel and Hamas is seen to be under threat amid Israel's halting of all humanitarian aid to Gaza. PM Bejnamin Netanyahu's office has claimed that Hamas' refusal to accept US Middle East envoy Steven Witkoff's proposal of a temporary extension of the phase one agreement until the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and after the Jewish Passover festival means the stipulations of phase one (which expired on 1 March) with regards to aid provision no longer apply.
- Ynet confirms that the political and security cabinet will meet this Sunday (9 March) at 1600 local time (0900ET/ 1400GMT).
- The Arab League is convening a meeting of leaders from across the Arab world today (4 March) in Cairo. The Egyptian gov't is set to seek support for its own plan for Gaza post-war in an effort to counter US President Donald Trump's 'Middle East Riviera' plan.
