Despite the recent pullback, the trend condition in Brent futures remains bullish. Recent gains resulted in a break of $81.22, the Dec 26 high. This highlights a stronger bullish condition and Monday’s sell-off appears to be a correction. Resistance at $83.84, the Nov 30 high and the next key hurdle for bulls, has been pierced. A clear break would open $86.03, a Fibonacci retracement. Initial support is at $79.40, the 50-day EMA.
