  • Shipments rose 0.4% from last month, marking the second monthly increase.
  • Inventory rose for another month by 0.6% m/m in March, led by automobile industry.
  • METI upgrades its assessment of production as "gradual recovery" from the previous "weak".
  • METI sees production will rise 4.1% (revised down from 5.8%) in March before falling 2.0% in April.
