Jordan On Track To Lose Third Successive Speaker Ballot

Republican nominee for speaker, Jim Jordan (R-OH), is on track to lose a third successive rollcall to elect a speaker of the House of Representatives.

  • With the voting ongoing, House Republicans will be noting if he has flipped any votes and opened up a pathway to the gavel. If Jordan fails to turn the vote count in right direction, his bid to become speaker will continue to look untenable.
  • Early signs suggest that the vote is going the wrong way for Jordan with Rep Fitzpatrick (R-PA) casting a new vote against him.
