POLAND
  • Poland's public radio reported that the European Commission is "seriously considering" subsidising transport of Ukrainian grain through several frontline countries, including Poland. The matter is being discussed with the representatives of Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary, all of which imposed bans on the import of Ukrainian grain. An EU source told the radio that subsidies for transport of 10mn tons of grain would cost around EUR300mn.

    • Industrial output (median estimate -0.9% Y/Y)
    • Average gross wages (median estimate +11.0% Y/Y)
    • Employment (median estimate +0.1% Y/Y)
    • PPI (median estimate -1.0% Y/Y)
