US DATA: June durable goods new orders +6.5%, well ahead of +4.0% 
expected and following an upward revision to May, but ex-transport 
+0.2%, lower than +0.4% expected. Transport orders +19.0%, with 
nondefense aircraft orders +131.2% and defense aircraft orders -0.3%, 
but motor vehicles orders -0.6%. The unlisted transportation components 
were +7.8% according to an MNI calc. Outside of transport, there were 
gains for primary metals, fabricated metals, machinery and the "all 
other durables" category that offset declines for computers and 
electronics and the electrical equipment category. Nondefense capital 
goods new orders were +21.0%, but were -0.1% ex. aircraft. Durable 
shipments flat, with nondef cap gds shipments +0.4% and +0.2% ex. air.
