- Personal income is expected to rise by 0.4% in June based on both the
Bloomberg consensus MNI survey of analysts. This follows 0.5% gains in the
previous two months. Stronger payrolls growth is the key upward factor.
- Nominal PCE growth is expected to rise by 0.3% based on both surveys, but
another strong retail sales report suggests some upside risk to surveys.
- The core PCE price index is forecast to rise by a trend 0.2%, which would push
the year/year rate up to 1.7% from 1.6%, but keep it will below the Fed's 2%
target.
