Kazakhstan Could Boost Oil Supplies to Germany to 2mn t/yr

Kazakhstan could boost oil exports to Germany to 2mn t/yr, from 1.2mn t/yr vi the Druzhba pipeline, the Kazakh Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev said, cited by Interfax.

  • "We are talking about a volume of up to 2 million tonnes per year, though the final volume will be determined after negotiations," Satkaliyev said.
  • The minister said that Germany expressed interest in boosting imports of Kazakh oil.
  • Kazakhstan expects to send 920k tons of oil to Germany in 2023 with a technical capacity on the route of 1.2mn t/yr with the actual shipments depending on Kazak oil producers, KazTransOil said earlier this month.
