Kazakhstan's Karachaganak Oilfield to Shut Sept. 12 to Oct. 6

Kazakhstan's Karachaganak oilfield plans to stop production for maintenance from Sept. 12 to Oct. 6, the energy ministry said this week.

  • Oil and gas condensate at Karachaganak rose to 6.096 million tonnes in the first six months of the year from 5.989 million tonnes in the same period last year.
  • Oil from Karachaganak is mainly supplied via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium from the Black Sea terminal.
