Kremlin Comments on Oil Price Cap

The Japanese Prime Minister commented over the weekend about a price cap on Russian oil, which he said would need to be around half of the current price Russian oil is selling at.

  • Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in response today “"Such a statement by the Japanese Prime Minister does not mean that similar parameters can be approved by other countries. Let’s wait for some general understanding of the situation," adding, "So far this is an isolated remark without any decisions taken,".
