Kremlin Seeks To Fulfil Gas Supply; Working On Compliance For NS2

  • Kremlin states that it hipes nothing will prevent Russia from fulfiling its contractual obligations on gas supply to Europe. Says that Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Belarus' President Alexander Lukashenko before year-end.
  • Says that the Nord Stream II gas pipeline operator is working on reaching compliance with German regulators to allow the operation of the pipeline to begin. Nord Stream II could become crucially important gas supply for Europe in the event Lukashenko does follow through on his threat to halt gas supplies via Belarus.
  • Kremlin: 'This week Russia will submit recommendations for security discussions with the United States'. Comes after last week's bilateral talks between Presidents Putin and Biden over rising tensions around Ukraine.
