  • Brazil mid-month inflation data headlines the LatAm calendar on Tuesday, accompanied by Mexico trade balance figures for July. Elsewhere, business confidence indicators for Colombia may be released and Chile’s lower house committee are expected to vote on a bill to allow new withdrawals from pension funds. USDMXN has consolidated its 1.5% rally on Monday, which saw the pair reverse the majority of Friday’s selloff to trade back above 19.40 as domestic uncertainties continue to linger.
  • The global calendar is headlined by August US consumer confidence stats and the Richmond Fed Manufacturing Index - although broader focus remains on the European inflation picture later in the week, with prelim German, French and Eurozone-wide CPI estimates. ECB speakers today include Knot and Nagel.
