Construction and heavy machinery names buoyed the Industrial sector: GE +7.35%, Caterpillar +2.21%, Quanta Services +2.16%.
  • Laggers: Consumer Staples and Utility sectors underperformed in late trade, personal products makers weighed on the former: Estee Lauder -4.05%, Procter & Gamble -2.8%, Kenvue -2.45%. Multi-energy and natural gas providers weighed on Utilities: Eversource -1.55%, Pinnacle West -1.18%, CMS Energy -1.04%.
