Late Equity Roundup: Bouncing Off Lows

Stocks still mildly lower but recovering heading into the early FI close. After revisiting late Wednesday's all-time high of 4841.50 overnight, S&P eminis reversed early session gains/extended lows decent following 1200 name sell-program. At the moment: S&P E-Mini futures are down 17.5 points (-0.36%) at 4814.75, Nasdaq down 68 points (-0.5%) at 15027.33, DJIA down 64.14 points (-0.17%) at 37645.48.

Laggers: Real Estate and Communication Services sectors continue to underperform, real estate investment trusts, particularly retail and residential REITs weighing on the former: Realty Income Corp -1.81%, Equity Residential -1.75%, Ventas -1.63%. Media and Entertainment shares weight on the Communication Services sector: Warner Bros and Paramount both -2.35%, Interpublic Group -1.53%.

Leading gainers: Consumer Staples and Health Care sectors continue to lead, household/personal product names buoyed the former: Procter & Gamble and Church & Dwight both +0.28%, Colgate-Palmolive +0.25%, Kimberly-Clark +0.10%. Equipment and services names supported the Health Care sector: Boston Scientific +2.82%, McKesson +0.90%, Molina Healthcare +0.86%.
