Libya's Sharara Production Raises to 85,000 bpd

Oil production at Libya’s Sharara field has risen to around 85,000 bpd, aimed at supplying the Zawia refinery according to Reuters sources on Monday.

  • Libya's NOC had declared force majeure on oil exports from the field on Aug.7 after a blockade by protesters hit production at the 300,000-bpd field.
  • It is not clear if a deal has been reached to increase output further.
