Libyan Oil Exports Slip in April on Weaker NWE Demand

Libya’s observed crude and condensate shipments hit a five-month low in April after shipments to northwest Europe declined according to Bloomberg vessel tracking.

  • Oil exports from Libya dropped to 953k b/d in April, compared with 1.03m b/d in March.
  • Northwest Europe imported 121k b/d of Libyan crude in April, down from 171k b/d in March.
  • Libyan oil production is at about 1.2mn bpd at present according to official statements.
