BOND SUMMARY: Little in the way of notable activity in the developed bond space
in early Asia-Pacific trade.
- NYT reports suggested that "some of Mueller investigators have told associates
that Attorney General Barr failed to adequately portray the findings of their
inquiry and that they were more troubling for President Trump than Mr. Barr
indicated." This had little impact on broader sentiment. Elsewhere, Fed's
Kashkari backed the Fed's recent pivot to patience. T-Notes last 123.16, unch.
on the day, with 10-Year Tsy yields 0.7bp lower at 2.517%. Eurodollar futures
trade unchanged to 0.5 tick higher through the reds.
- Aussie Bond futures had a look below SYCOM lows, but follow through has been
lacking. YM last trades 4.0 ticks lower on the day, with XM 6.0 ticks worse off.
YM/XM trades at 50.0, with the cash equivalent at 45.4bp. The AU/U.S. 10-Year
yield spread trades at -62.2bp. Bills trade 2-5 ticks lower through the reds.
- JGB futures have stuck to a tight range, last 1 tick below settlement. Yields
sit marginally higher across the curve ahead of today's 30-Year supply. BoJ Gov.
Kuroda & PM Abe have pushed back against the need for MMT policies in Japan.
