BOND SUMMARY: Little of note on the European calendar today, with. Eurozone Oct
CPI is a final reading so little excitement expected. A few ECB speakers (mainly
0900GMT with Portugal`s Costa and ex-ECB Praet), but again unlikely to hear
anything groundbreaking on Mon Pol.
- Italian spreads subsiding from Thursday`s sell-off though remain elevated.
- Bunds better bid from the open, with Gilts up on the follow, though have faded
somewhat. Latest levels:
* Dec Bund futures (RX) down 3 ticks at 170.96 (L: 170.65 / H: 171.05)
* Germany: The 2-Yr yield is down 0.2bps at -0.643%, 5-Yr is up 0.2bps at
-0.591%, 10-Yr is up 0.8bps at -0.343%, and 30-Yr is up 1.2bps at 0.171%.
* Dec Gilt futures (G) down 8 ticks at 131.77 (L: 131.68 / H: 131.9)
* UK: The 2-Yr yield is up 1bps at 0.541%, 5-Yr is up 0.8bps at 0.501%, 10-Yr is
up 1bps at 0.719%, and 30-Yr is up 1bps at 1.245%.
* Dec BTP futures (IK) up 23 ticks at 141 (L: 140.49 / H: 141.02)
* Italy / German 10-Yr spread 5bps tighter at 162.6bps
* Dec OAT futures (OA) up 5 ticks at 167.3 (L: 166.91 / H: 167.35)
