LNG: Europe LNG Imports Rise but Asia Imports Fall in November

European November LNG imports are on track to reach to the highest since February at 9.16m metric tons met largely by flexible U.S. supply, according to Kpler data cited by Reuters.
- Imports are up from 7.56m tons in October and the lowest in three years of 6.37m tons in September.
- Europe is set to import 4.32m tons of U.S. LNG in November up from 3.1m tons in October.
- Asia imports are expected to fall from 24.39m tons in October to the lowest since June at 23.13m tons in November, amid weaker imports from price sensitive buyers in the South Asia. Imports from the US will fall from 3.21m tons in October to the lowest since March at 2.19m tons.
- India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are expected to import 2.21m tons in November, down from 2.36m in October.
- Colder seasonal weather forecasts for North Asia relative to last year could support imports from China, Japan and South Korea.
- North Asia spot LNG rose to an 11-month high at $14.60/mmbtu in the week to Nov. 22.
