Global LNG demand increased 18% in the week to Nov. 3 to 8.35m metric tons driven by supply to Asia and the Americas, according to BNEF.

  • JKCT impots rose 0.81m tons with a 0.38m increase to Japan and 0.41m tons increase to mainland China. October deliveries into South Korea were 54% higher year on year, mainland China imports were 25% higher but Japan deliveries fell 10% y/y.
  • Southeast Asia deliveries rose 0.15m tons w/w and to the Americas increase 0.39m tons.
  • Delivery to Northwest Europe edged slightly lower in the week but were offset by an increase to other Europe. October deliveries to NW Europe were 18% lower year on year.
  • Global LNG supply remained relatively unchanged on the week at 7.75m tons.
  • An increase from Australia of 0.4m tons was offset by a drop of 0.22m tons from Qatar and 0.22m tons from the US.
