Looking a bit more closely at the Florida........>

US
US: Looking a bit more closely at the Florida numbers which have furthered the
risk-off tone:
- Percent positivity rate for new cases is 15.9%, up from 10.8% the previous day
(previous high was 12.3%). This is the number of people who test positive for
the first time divided by all the people tested that day, excluding people who
have previously tested positive.
- # of people tested has been pretty steady for the past 3 days, around 36-37k.
- Median age of cases has come down to 33, where it was at the end of last week,
and down from 37 on Jun 16. The age breakdown is key: 25-34 year olds make up
19% of cases, 6% of hospitalizations but just 1% of deaths; 85+ year olds make
up 4% of cases, 14% of hospitalizations and 36% of deaths.
- Cases increasingly concentrated in cities: Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach
counties (the three in SE FL around Miami) make up 48% of cases (was in high 30s
yesterday).
