CHINA PRESS: Low CPI and PPI numbers in March and multiple other signs indicate
that China does not have inflation pressures at present, said China Securities
Journal on Thursday. Financial institutions generally expected the CPI to be
around 2-2.5% in 2018, and this mild inflation will help China to carry out its
reform plans and will not restrict monetary policies, the report said. The
downward pressure of PPI is more significant compared to the upward pressure of
the CPI, and the market needs to be cautious of PPI growth falling quickly in
the near future, the report said.
